The project idea was to depart from monumentality typical of many memorial places of. The place becomes a seclusion, full of greenery, shimmering light and sounds of nature – birds and bees. Its beauty is indisputable and does not depend on seasons. It was assumed that it should look a little untended referring to ideas of a romantic garden and the beauty of old orchards and cemeteries.
Many of cemeteries of Breslau which ceased to exist have been desecrated or liquidated because of ideological reason. These acts needed compensation. Preserved gravestones and the soil transferred from the non-existing cemeteries are transformed into sphere of sacrum where visitors are given a limited opportunity to walk on suspended wooden boardwalks.
