One of the Przedmieście Oławskie Regeneration Programme elements. The task comprised the refurbishment and extension of the ruined outbuilding and partial regeneration of the block inner yard. The building was shaped as a functional patchwork of flexible, versatile spaces. The patio working as a "hallway" to the rooms connected by enfilade layout is the heart of the complex. The characteristic external stairs / grandstand, which practicly hidden undearneath rooms, make an access to the newly designed gallery deck. Such solutions allow for numerous scenarios in which events can take place simoultanously as well as to merge and 'overflow' between parts of the building. The architectural goals presumed keeping the main structural and architectural elements in the historical part and articulate them in the newly built part. The practical interiors have been broken mainly by material textures and wood-based elements. To naturally blend the object into the spatial context, the outer walls were finished with rough plaster in a shade harmonized with the color of the adjacent tennement housing.
